Weekend Affair’s Ten Tracks for the Afterparty
When the lights come up, the crowd dissolves and the real heads drift back to yours, Weekend Affair know exactly how to keep the mood glowing. Their selections move between nostalgia, synth-soaked calm, soft landings and those strange, beautiful moments where the night hasn’t quite ended yet.

Art Of Noise - Moments In Love

A wonderfully relaxing track, yet still a little bit crazy. Hard to believe it was released in 1985. It still sounds astonishingly modern today. Synths, samplers and ethereal voices. A perfect afterparty song.

Descends – Weekend Affair (Yuksek Tropic Instrumental Edit)

When you understand the meanings of Monter and Descends, it fits pretty well with the feelings you live through during a big night.

Orchestral Manoeuvres in the Dark – Souvenir

Because the moment we had had already become a memory. This song is like an instant Polaroid of nostalgia.

10cc – I'm Not in Love

Have you ever noticed there is absolutely no snare at all in this song?

Whiter Shade of Pale (Cover) – TROIS QUARTS D'HEURE AMÉRICAIN

With a friend of mine we have a funny little side project called TROIS QUARTS D'HEURE AMÉRICAIN. It's just about covering love songs from the 70s/80s in a modern way. Perfect fit for the landing after big parties.

Pelléas et Mélisande, Op. 80, Suite: III. Sicilienne – Gabriel Fauré

Beyond the beauty of this piece, classical music is always a great way to hold on to that feeling of being surrounded by a crowd. You can practically count the fifty-plus musicians playing it.

I'm Out – Naked Soft Men

A good friend’s closing track on their album! -I’m Out.” Isn’t it the perfect song for crashing

into your couch?

La fête est finie – Weekend Affair

“Party Is Over” is literally the title of one of your songs. It’s not exactly about the end of a party, but somehow it still fits the mood.

Sunny Afternoon – 0000 (CLOUDRIVER)

A lo-fi pop song that perfectly fits the afterparty mood. It’s like opening a window onto the next day.

Cesar Precio – Un homme qui dort (alternative version)

A typical airy French synth-pop track, perfect for the gentle landing. And Un Homme Qui Dort (“A Sleeping Man”) is pretty much what’s going to happen next.
