Ubaruh doesn’t just make tracks — he builds worlds. Step through the door and you’re immediately in his orbit: deep grooves humming under the floorboards, percussion flickering like candlelight, and that unmistakable sense of wanderlust woven through every texture he touches. His home setup feels like a crossroads between continents and eras, where vintage warmth meets modern pulse and nothing is ever placed by accident. Tonight, he’s pulling back the curtain on the sounds, stories, and soulful curiosities that shape his universe — and inviting us to settle in, stay a while, and let the journey unfold. 1. Neil Frances - I can feel the pressure
Both 2022 and 2023 Neil Frances albums share a great R&b / dance / low-fi blend that I love. The lyrics are also fun, and they throw one of the few male voices that I like recently.
2. Wolf Alice - The Sofa
The Clearing is by far the best album of 2025. I played in Lisbon/Porto last November and flew to Brussels just to catch them live. What a blast, what a perfect live band. Ellie Rowssel's is the best vocal in pop, indie, rock nowadays. She's 100% perfect in all aspects. This album makes me cry.
3. Magdalena Bay - Top Dog
Another band I fell in love with by 2024. My ultra pop side. Top production, top melodies, harmonies. Perfect indie, pop, electronic mixture.
4. Vitor Milagres - Deixo ele jogar
To me this the best Brazilian album from 2024. Vitor is from Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. A high-class mixture of crazy production techniques, pop, indie, progressive melodies and harmonies. It is very difficult to choose only one song from this precious album. The cover art is amazing. we'd love to get to know him personally, who knows collabbing on a Ubaruh tune :) Every song is different and special in this album. -Firmamento” is also one the coolest songs I've heard in the last few years.
5. The Internet feat Kaytranada - Girl
I love everything about The Internet. Steve Lacy's guitar work, their general cool chill feel, Syd's perfect satin vocals, their bass lines.
6 - Asa Moto - Kifesh
A lot of inspiration from my friends from Ghent, i remember listening to this before the Ubaruh sessions.
7 - Black Sabbath - Planet Caravan
A bit of metal Balearic inspiration from Black Sabbath, really fits the Ubaruh vibes.
8 - Black Meteoric Star - Freaks Only
I love this side project of Gavina from LCD Soundsystem, non-sense and acid.
9 - Hot Chip - Boy from the School
Ubaruh has a lot of similarities and influence from Hot Chip, that electro pop nonsense.
10 - Soulwax - Gimme a Reason
And soulwax is always a big inspiration.
