The following interview was conducted on December 18, 2025

Nightsteppaz Originally hailing from NYC, Vibe Me To The Moon’s label-boss Nightsteppaz has been producing electronic music for many years. He made waves in the dance music world with the release of his debut single in 2017, The Energy of The Room. This collaboration with House legend Roland Clark also marked the launch of his Vibe Me To The Moon label. Since then, Nightsteppaz has been hard at work in the studio, collaborating with as Mr. V and Roland Clark, and with his A&R cap on, he’s signed music from industry icons such like Joeski, Robert Babicz, Franck Roger and Huxley. Suffice to say, Nightsteppaz’ vast musical palette can be heard in his productions, and in the diverse catalog of the label. Here we get the chance to talk to the label head about his imprint and his new release.

Thanks for taking the time to talk. Where are you today and how will you be spending your day once you've written this interview?

Today, I am at home, in the United States. After this interview I will be listening to demo submissions for my label, Vibe Me To The Moon records. I have been getting incredible Deep-House demos from South Africa lately.

Where are you from originally and what was it like growing up where you were?

I am from New York City. The worst part about growing there is that my friends and I were too young to get into any clubs. We did, however, attend some rock and roll concerts. New York is a city with a lot of culture, so I was exposed to rock and roll music and also to Hip-Hop music while growing up.

What are your early musical memories from being a kid.

One of my best and earliest music memories was going to a rock and roll concert to see Red Hot Chili Peppers perform at Madison Square Garden in New York City. Also, I listened to the Beastie Boys and to Wu-Tang Clan.

Where are you based these days. What do you love the most about where you live?

I am based out of Massachusetts. What I love the most about where I live is being able to make music, while surrounded by nature, and having freedom to play music loud on my own private property.

How long have you been involved in music and what were your first projects?

I have been involved since 2017, and some of my first projects are featured on my album "After Dark." My first single was Nightsteppaz and Roland Clark- "The Energy Of The Room" "House Music's Still Alive" and "Can't Get Enough."

What are some of the challenges you face as a music producer in 2025?

The biggest challenge I face as a music producer in 2025 is finding enough time to produce, while still running the label.

What would you say were the benefits of making music out of New York in your early years and what is unique about NYC's musical environment?

In the early years of the Nightsteppaz project, I was making music in New York, and then in Amsterdam. The benefits of making music in New York are that New York has so many live DJ events. I also attended some Dance Music festivals in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your next release is Getting Into The Groove, with a remix by Bushwacka. What are you most proud of with this release?

I am most proud of the remix by Bushwacka. He really nailed it.

What was the most challenging part of bringing this release together?

The most challenging part of bringing this release together was as a producer, finalizing the arrangement for the original mix track.

The Bushwacka remix is pretty dope. How did you hook up with him initially?

Thanks! I first became aware of Bushwacka when he was part of Layo and Bushwacka when I heard Nick Warren play Layo & Bushwacka! - Saudade (Remix) to open his set at Creamfields, Peru.

Tell us a little about your label Vibe Me To The Moon. When did it begin, and who is involved on the label?

The label launched in 2017, and the label is run by me (Nightsteppaz) and Kevin, the label manager.

Who are some of the artists on the label and what do you feel have been the label's most significant releases so far?

Franck Roger, Demarkus Lewis, Roland Clark, Robert Babicz, and Big Al. I think that the Roland Clark "Dance Or Die" single and the Joeski Remix were the most significant releases so far.

What is the musical vision of the label?

To promote quality Deep-House and Tech-House

How do you go about finding new artists for the label?

I can't tell you that! That's our secret. I do listen to demo submissions though, that's part of the process of finding new artists for the label.

What are the challenges of running a label in 2025?

Man, there are so many labels and so many producers and so many new tracks going on Beatport and Traxsource everyday in 2025. But I have no complaints!

You have a new album -After Dark” coming along soon. Can you tell us a little about that project?

Yes, "After Dark" is a compilation album, including a DJ Mix, featuring the early Nightsteppaz releases.

What drives you to create music?

I usually hear beats while out at clubs which inspire me in the studio as a producer.

Who are the artists and icons that inspire the music you make?

Robert Babicz, Huxley, and Darius Syrossian.

What is the perfect setting for you to create some new music?

The perfect setting for me to create some new music is to go out clubbing for a few nights before going to the studio to "feel the beats"

Where do you find the most inspiration when it comes to discovering new sounds?

I think Franck Roger is really on top of his game and consistently creating new sounds.

Who do you think is making great music right now?

Franck Roger, Demarkus Lewis, and Radic The Myth, just to name a few.

What has been one of your favourite moments from the past year?

Listening to the demo submissions for the Radic The Myth Album was one of my favorite musical moments. Also, finishing the new mix of Nightsteppaz - "Inside The Warehouse"

Aside from the new album, what can we hope to see from Nightsteppaz in 2026.

Lots of hard work on the label, that's for sure!

When you are not curating for the label and producing music, what might we find you doing?

Watching television, watching sports, and listening to music.
