Everyone Back To Mine is Miche stepping into that moment, opening the door, putting a record on, and letting the music tell the rest of the story. As the founder of DAYBREAKERS Records and one of London’s most quietly influential selectors, Miche has spent years tracing the deeper threads of soulful, jazz‑inflected, dancefloor‑ready music. Now, with ROOT DOWN 30, his collaborative compilation with Rainer Trüby, he celebrates a club institution built on exactly those values: curiosity, community, and the good groove. Miche has a philosophy which he carries through his own labels, his global DJ sets, and his With Love compilation series. It’s the belief that music with soul, whether Brazilian, broken beat, deep house or dusty jazz‑funk, can connect people in a way that feels both intimate and expansive. Everyone Back To Mine is an invitation into that world: a place where the records are chosen with care, the stories behind them matter, and the night keeps unfolding long after the last track fades.

Freddie Hughes - I Just Found Out
Killer crossover soul, insanely good from Freddie on the Janus label from Los Angeles. The label is full of these incredible deep soul numbers. I could have picked so many tracks!
Lui - Oh, Oh, (I Think I'm Falling In Love)
Really stunning Hawaiian soul that has been one of my favourites for many years now. It's oozing with feelings and has a guitar sound that transports you to the hotel in Maui featured on the front cover.
Monty Alexander - People Make The World Go Round
Monty on MPS, name a better combo. His version of People Make The World Go Round here is one of my all-time favourites, the dynamics and depth of this record combined with Monty's 3 piece catches me every time.
Guy Maxwell - You Never Sang This Song
Essential AOR folky goodness from Guy Maxwell, perfect to close your eyes and take off. I don't know many better glides than this one.
Özdemir Erdoğan - Var Mısın?
One of my favourites from Turkey's finest Özdemir Erdoğan, this song is one from off the beaten track that features pure soul and emotion from Özdemir.

Орэра or Orera were Georgia’s answer to The Beatles yet came out with some pretty heavy proto-triphop bits. this just arrived at my place last week for no less than €2 and feels like it could be in one James Bond film, not bad!
Apelsin - Igatsus
Continuing the theme of Soviet triphop, I picked up this beauty a few months back and had to post the dons of triphop Rainer Trüby and Peter Kruder a copy each. Apelsin from Estonia with their love for banjo fueled country music, had to slow it down at one point.
New Way - Holding On
One from one of my soulful compilations -With Love” on Mr Bongo, this one is a great slice of Gospel Soul from the heartland of Birmingham Alabama.
The Latin Brothers - Duelo De Picotero
Closing out with a super-jazzy montuno descarga from The Latin Brothers on Discos Fuentes, nothing but a deep Colombian groove with intent to make you shuffle across the floor
