Kraak & Smaak

Everyone Back to Mine Playlist
Kraak & Smaak After two decades of bending funk, disco and electronic soul into their own warm, analogue signature, Kraak & Smaak know exactly how to steer a night into its softer, stranger hours. From Leiden to Los Angeles, their world has stretched across clubs, festivals and late night TV, but Velvet Seas and its international remix counterpart show a trio just as comfortable drifting into hazy calm as they are driving a dancefloor. With voices from IVAR to Butter Bath and reworks from Ray Mang, Yuksek, Diogo Strausz, Harvey Sutherland and Sound Support, their palette is wide, sunlit and deeply grooved.

For this Everyone Back To Mine, they wind things down with ten downtempo selections built for that moment after the club when the lights are low, the room exhales, and the night shifts into something slower, deeper and beautifully unhurried.

Fouk and Archil & Leon - Sundays (Boogie Angst)

Our current winding down track after a night of peak-time DJ'ing. A smooth transition from a hectic Saturday night to a lazy early after-party on Sunday morning:

Los Amigos Invisibles & Dimitri from Paris - Glad to Know You (Ray Mang's Flying Dub) (Gomma).

One of our all-time favourite chill tracks in the 10+ minutes version of course!). Classic Balearic vibes to nod your head to indefinitely, not your feet.

Moods - Return to 4ever (Boogie Angst)

The kind of trippy, jazz-influenced downbeat Moods is a master of. It doesn't get more cosy than this!

Kraak & Smaak - Stumble (ft. Parcels) (Richard Dorfmeister Cinematic Way Version) (Jalapeno)

For many people the best remix of 'Stumble' out there, and Richard Dorfmeister is spot on here with a K&D-worthy dubbed out version of the track. Lovely 90's triphop vibes that still work super when chilling out.

Yusef Lateef - Like It Is (Atlantic)

Best to listen to with all the lights turned off.

Till von Sein - Indian Summer (original mix) (Tilly Jam)

These often overlooked Tilly Jam vibes from Von Sein are perfect for chilling out on the beach and watching the Sun come up after a long night out.

Islands on Tape - Dust Conspiracy (Batov Records)

Big fan of this label, which drops ‘world’ music that seems to catch the sound of Mediterranean and Middle Eastern grooves so well. Moving away from four to the floor beats it’s a welcome change of pace to the outspoken exotic, whether for your listening pleasure or for more airy dance moves.

Architex - Altitude (original mix) (Basement Records)

Probably the mellowest Drum & Bass track ever and the ultimate lullaby for clubbers. Try it out!

Wesseltoft & Schwarz - First Track (live from Berlin) (Jazzland Recordings)

From the ‘Duo’ album, which is actually great overall. The most ambient track on here, but the whole project oozes a mellow yet edgy and intense mix of ambient, classical and electronic music, without getting on your nerves. Perfect for closing yourself off for a little bit after a two hour nightly peak set.

El Chicano - Viva Tirado Pt. 1 and 2 (Kapp Records)

Mellow and slightly spooky at times, soulful Latin jazz to slow dance to.
