Vangelis has always been a super prolific musician. The man could play any instrument and style out there…
The track “Astral Abuse” (written by Vilma Ladopoulou, Vangelis, and Koulouris) is a wild psych masterpiece that sounds far ahead of its time — it could easily be a contemporary release.
Vilma Ladopoulou’s vocals likely inspired Papathanassiou for Irene Papa’s “666,” while the rhythmic backing, Argiris Koulouris’s sharp guitars, and Vangelis’s keyboard fills propel the track into space.
The flip side, “Who Killed?” by Papathanassiou and Gomelsky, is not lacking in power or imagination — if you like, it foreshadows the sonic cosmogony of "Earth" two years later. ]]>

A slow-burning, 16-minute synth epic that sacrifices immediacy for a patient, cinematic payoff — an archival-sounding piece that rewards immersion.
