San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus: Home For The Holidays
Home for the Holidays
A Castro Tradition for 15 Years!
Thursday, December 16, 2004
7 PM / Admission: $20
Now in its 15th season, the annual San Francisco Gay Men's Chorus "Home for the Holidays" is a San Francisco signature event.
This year's concert will feature an exclusive 30th anniversary of John Rutter's first visit to the United States in 1974 to conduct the Gloria's premier performance. SFGMC has been granted special permission from the composer and Oxford University Press to re-voice the Gloria for men's voices.
The concert will also include our traditional favorites: songs for Hanukkah, Winter Solstice, and Kwanzaa, sing-along carols and – of course – the nuns.
People who are leaving town for the Holidays will have no excuses!
Featuring SFGMC's small ensembles:
The Lollipop Guild
Vocal Minority
Special Guests:
"Bell Appeal," the bell choir from Bethany United Methodist Church
Tickets availableonline, and by phone: 415-865-3650 (chorus office).
