THE MILL VALLEY FALL ARTS FESTIVAL, heralded as one of the state’s most prestigious arts and crafts shows, is celebrating its 48 year anniversary at OLD MILL PARK, SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 18, 10AM-6PM AND SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 19, 10AM-5PM. The festival features over 140 artists and craftspeople from California, Oregon, and Washington, who will display their work in 15 different media categories -- including painting, graphics, sculpture, functional ceramics, sculptural ceramics, glass, paper, clothing, precious and non-precious jewelry, leather, woodwork, mixed media, photography and “other,” a designation for art that does not easily fit into any other category. In addition to a diverse selection of art, the Festival features day-long entertainment with the sounds of acoustic jazz, blues, swing and standards. Delicious food is supplied by local non-profit organizations and a wide variety of children’s activities and entertainment keep the little ones amused while parents shop for artistic treasures. There is a $7.00 admission fee and children under 12 are free.
