MILL VALLEY FALL ARTS FESTIVAL CELEBRATES 47 YEARS WITH EXPANDED GEOGRAPHIC AREA FOR EXHIBITING ARTISTS AND NEW LOOK AND LOGO Annual Event Held in Old Mill Park September 13-14
MILL VALLEY, CA – In its 47th year of celebrating quality art under the redwoods of Old Mill Park, the Mill Valley Fall Arts Festival has expanded its geographic area for juried exhibiting artists to include Washington and Oregon and freshened up its image with a new look and logo. The Fall Arts Festival, considered one of the state’s most prestigious arts and crafts shows, will be held Saturday, September 13, 10am-6pm and Sunday, September 14, 10am-5:30pm. The festival features over 140 juried artists and craftspeople whose work spans 15 different media categories. In addition to a diverse selection of art, the Festival features day-long entertainment with the sounds of acoustic jazz, blues, swing and classical. Delicious food is supplied by local non-profit organizations, such as Mill Valley Girls Softball, Chamber of Commerce and others. A wide variety of children’s activities and entertainment keep the little ones amused while parents shop for artistic treasures. There is a $5 admission fee and children under 12 are free. And, please, NO PETS! People are also encouraged not to park in downtown Mill Valley, but rather take the shuttle buses, which run continuously from Tamalpais High School.
