 French Cabaret Featuring Moana Diamond

Bastille Day Celebration…… An Evening of

French Cabaret

Featuring Moana Diamond

Join us on Bastille Day - July 14th for the cheapest ticket to Paris you will ever buy!

WHEN:

Thursday July 14th - 7:30 pm for special reception, 8pm for show only.

WHERE:

142 Throckmorton Theatre in downtown Mill Valley.

COST:

Tickets are $30 for special reception with hors d'ouevres and desserts at 7:30pm; Show only $25 at 8pm. Call 415-383-9600 for tickets or visit www.142throckmortontheatre.com.

WHAT:

This spectacle will include the great French cabaret songs as well as special guests, from can-can dancers to a French puppet show and juggler. For those who love the European Cabaret aesthetic, this show takes you from feeling as if you are sitting at a Parisian café wearing you favorite beret, sipping café au lait, all the way to dressed to the nines, sipping champagne, watching zany performers kicking up their heels at the Moulin Rouge. It's funny, madcap, beautifully sad and mad all in one sitting. The audience leaves the theatre smiling and singing songs from the show. The music includes French greats Edith Piaf, Jacques Brel, Maurice Chevalier, Josephine Baker, Mistenguett and even Cole Porter's songs about Paris.

WHO:

The lead performer, Moana Diamond is covered in gowns that sparkle and change as often as her characters. She, as Mademoiselle Kiki takes us from Brel's most desperate poetry, to dancing samba to Brazil a la Josephine, to sharing the gorgeous songs of Piaf. Although American, she is often asked by her audience if she is French.

Also appearing is Bay Area Cabaret favorite, Chris Walkey, and dynamite vocalist, Danny Slomoff. (Who is one of the owners of 142 Throckmorton Theatre.)
