MORE INFORMATION Kelley Stoltz (with special guests Spiral Stairs and Scott Mcaughey) - Oranger - Enablers - Scott Mcaughey (Young Fresh Fellows/Minus 5) - Ezee Tiger - Cheetah Speed (ex Zen Guerilla)
From 8-10 we will have $2 Miller and $2 shots drink specials so that everyone can start getting that TGIF feeling surging thru your bladders. We will also have cupcakes. That’s right, cupcakes and enough cheap booze to kill John Bonham and Bon Scott that other guy.
Tickets between 8-10pm will be $10. $12 if attending after Ghost Whisperer.
9pm is…
Cheetah Speed. Simply put, they rock and if you miss them you will feel like a stupid fat baby.
At 9:30 Ezee Tiger will be playing a rare upstairs set and he is not to be missed. The last band to play upstairs at 12 Galaxies were the Coachwhips and they broke up, so don’t even fuck around with this.
10pm will bring us Enablers. Probably my favorite band of the past 20 years (not counting Voice of the Beehive). I dare you to pull yourselves away from the pipe long enough to see what I mean.
Around 10:45 or so we will be treated to the legendary sounds of Mister Scott McCaughey. We at Parkerzalooza feel that we have won the lottery by landing this young upstart. I’m sure that he will be performing songs from the Minus 5 and the Young Fresh Fellows so be sure to scream all of your favorites. Beginning now.
After McCoi we have comedienne Mary Van Note. Mary will be doing a quick little set to cleanse your pallets like a potty mouth sorbet. Picture a funny Paula Poundstone, but with a vagina.
After Mary, comes SF favorite’s Oranger. In between Dungeons and Dragons games, they have been whipping up a magical cauldron of musical mayhem. Expect Scott McCaughey and Spiral Stairs to sit in at some point, and some LAVA visuals by Ammon Rost to grace their set. Time your drugs, because there is a good chance you may shit yourself.
Kelley Stoltz will hit the stage around 12:30. Like a great relief pitcher ready to retire your collective minds, Kelley will be performing with recent addition Dave Douglas on drums as a power trio. This is a rare chance to see Kelley before he heads off on tour opening for the Raconteurs and returns wearing a cape and monocle.
Get there early for the cupcakes, stay late for the violence. It’s Parkerzalooza III.
