Brennan Green is one of the most talented, innovative producers in dance today. His debut singles were on John Selway's deep techno label CSM and disco cult hero Danny Wang's label Balihu. He has also completed remix work for Paper, Coco Machete, Peacefrog, Maya and now his debut MODAL release, which he claims is his "best work to date." Brennan's productions are full of vibrant instrumentation, atypical beats, and quirky, irresistable melodies. http://modal-music.com/
Brown Rainbow (Live - SF Debut)
Walking the tightrope between Neu! style melodic simplicity and the dancey playfulness of Euro Disco, Brown Rainbow tap into a highly melodic sound that is mind stimulating and a pleasure to listen to. They bring together terrific live musicianship with loosely programmed beats and sounds. Sam provides an array of synthesizer sounds and lead vocals, Dan picks out spacey lines on the guitar, and Adrian pulls it all together on the bass. Among the many influences: Brian Eno Apollo, Morgan Geist's Unclassics Disco Mix, Michael Rother's Sterntaler, classic New Order, early Kraftwerk, Tortoise, and David Bowie's Low.
