After being run out of Boneville, the three Bone cousins, Fone Bone, Phoney Bone and Smiley Bone, are separated and lost in a vast uncharted desert. One by one, they find their way into a deep, forested valley filled with wonderful and terrifying creatures. So begins Jeff Smith's acclaimed comic book story, Bone (once described as a Tolkien-meets-Pogo fantasy), that is now being published in a series of full-color, graphic novel editions.
Jeff Smith was born and raised in the American Midwest, where he learned about cartooning from comic strips, comic books and from watching animated shorts on TV. An instant classic when it first appeared as an underground comic book in 1991, Bone has since garnered 38 international awards and sold more than a million copies in 15 languages.
