CHINA MIÉVILLE
reading & booksigning for Un Lun Dun
Tuesday, February 27 at 7:00 pm
at The Booksmith (1644 Haight Street in San Francisco)

Un Lun Dun is the much-anticipated new novel from China Miéville. Part Alice in Wonderland, part The Phantom Tollbooth, this new fantasy takes readers into the life of a twelve-year-old girl who finds her way into a funhouse version of her home city – a place of animated umbrellas and trash monsters, as well as killer giraffes, ghost children, talking books, and flying double-decker buses.

China Miéville, the award-winning master of dark, literary fantasy, is well-known for his intricate prose and extraordinarily dense novels. He is the author of King Rat; Perdido Street Station, which won the Arthur C. Clarke Award and the British Fantasy Award; The Scar, which won the Locus Award and the British Fantasy Award; Iron Council, which won the Locus Award and the Arthur C. Clarke Award; and a collection of short stories, Looking for Jake. Miéville lives and works in London.

This Booksmith sponsored event will take place at The Booksmith (1644 Haight Street in San Francisco).
