 Lucius Shepard

Lucius Shepard
reading and booksigning for "Viator"
Tuesday, February 8th at 7pm
at The Booksmith (1644 Haight Street in San Francisco)

Late last year, Four Walls Eight Windows published "A Handbook of American Prayer," a widely praised fictional meditation on murder and faith. Recently, Nightshade published "Viator," a jazz-influenced, hallucination-filled novella about a drifter, a boat, bizarre dreams, eccentric compulsions, and a quartered crew - all set in Alaska. Sail the high seas of the mind as The Booksmith celebrates the multi-facetted work of Lucius Shepard.

Lucius Shepard is the author of numerous books, including such acclaimed works of fiction as "Life During Wartime" and "Two Trains Running." His 2001 story collection, "The Jaguar Hunter," won a World Fantasy Award and was named a New York Times Notable Book of the Year. The book's title story also won a Nebula Award.

This Booksmith author event is free and located at our San Francisco store (1644 Haight Street in San Francisco, between Clayton & Cole).
