"Live Mind" by Sun Araw from Sun Ark 7"

Like taking a psychedelic river trip deep into the mountainous jungle. So nice.

"Breezin'" by Gabor Szabo from High Contrast

This whole album is such the Sunday afternoon getting shit done around the house selection. Although this Womack number makes me wish I was lounging in a hammock somewhere.

"Take It Uptown" by Bill Champlin from Copper Mountain OST

All this talk of ski disco made me think about this film from 1983 filmed at the now defunct Club Med at Copper Mountain featuring Jim Carrey, Alan Thicke and even an appearance by Jean-Claude Killy. I learned to ski at Copper and I think my parents first took me there in 1982. I got such fond memories of the pre-high speed lift and full on neon outfit Copper. I might just have to listen to Blizz while skiing here next weekend.

"Murder" by Gianni Rossi from Gutterballs OST

Ryan's Steve Moore post the other day made me bust this soundtrack out again. Such the jams on this one. I still need to see the film.

"Face Like Summer" by Gorky's Zygotic Mynci from The Blue Trees

I pulled this out for the first time in a long while this morning. So nice.

"Magic Man" by Pete McCabe from The Man Who Ate The Plant

I finally picked up a copy of this completely baked 1973 Tumbleweed Records release a few months ago. There is some great quirky instrumentation on these songs along with some outstanding lyrics. My favorite is from this song: "his beautiful mustache had lost its curl/and drooped into his beer." Perhaps it was the Cheesman Park astral flash sessions that lead to this baked nugget.

"Silent Night" by Spiritualized from live at The Barbican

Such a treat to have the chimney back up. Have a great holiday season and New Years. Loving the snow falling in the streetlights here.

"Denver" by Willie Nelson from Red Headed Stranger

I am about to leave on a pub crawl that will eventually end up at the Nuggets game tonight. The King of Park Hill is going to make sure the bright lights of Denver will be shining.

"Hazy Paradise" by Ghost from live at Hi-Dive

Ghost killed it last night. That is the best I have ever heard the sound at the Hi-Dive as well. This song was the highlight for me, especially with Helena Espvall singing on it. The guy jamming on the flutes had such the Magnum P.I. style. I could see him jamming at the King Kamehameha Club.
