Everyone Back to Mine Playlist

Plastic BambooPlastic Bamboo is the alias of Parisian artist Camille Bertin who, on his latest ep, channels his love for proto-house, boogie and Zouk through iconic synthesizers like the DX7 and Juno 106. Here he creates a set of that are so easy on the ears and tough on the feet. Dropping this week on Chicago’s Star Creature Universal vibrations.

We asked him to take us back to his after the club. The lights are low, the drinks are flowing, the shoes are off. This is the playlist.

AB's - Deja Vu

I went to Japan last month, so I'll kick things off with a Japanese record. This is Japanese jazz-funk at its finest—unstoppable groove and silky chords, perfect to set the mood.

Bernard Grimaldi - Priorités D'Inquiétude

This is a record I've been searching for a long time, and a friend found it for me just last week—talk about perfect timing! It's an epic, dreamy synthpop jam with just the right amount of percussion breaks and a punchy slap bass solo at the end.

Richard Sanderson - Check On The List

This ultimate Balearic number is one of my all-time favorites. I'm lucky enough to own a 12’’ copy with an extended mix, but couldn’t find a decent link, so this is just the short version.

Madeleine Uzho - Satisfied (Midnight Mix)

This is also my kind of midnight vibe. A lot of space in the mix, yet it sounds full. Sometimes less is more.

Roberto Fabiani "Paradiso"

Perfect for lifting the mood. The jazz flute and soft whispers during the break are simply captivating. The Italian vocals and violins bring a touch of romance. Wondering where the current Neapolitan scene comes from? Look no further.

Ginni Gallan - L’amour Ça Rend Fou

A strong contender for the best B-side ever. Round bass, sensual vocals, and lush strings—pure late-night magic for lovers.

The Hi-Lads & A Lass - Never Gonna Give You Up

A lounge cover of a Barry White classic. The very definition of a late-night groove. Sensual and perfect for unwinding after a hard night at the club. I especially love the cascading brass.

Joëlle Ursull - Position Feeling (« Oh Baby » RLP Remix)

Another cover, this time of a Marvin Gaye hit by zouk star Joëlle Ursull. I’m a big fan of these revisited classics that let you hear the songs in a different light. Perfect for late nights, but I’ve also played this one at warm-ups countless times. Bonus points for being over nine minutes long.

Good Block - Naiad (Alternative Mix)

For me, one of the best releases of the last three years. Melancholic digital dub from London. Following their first three EPs, Good Block has just released their first LP on their own label.

Zig Zag - Stop Stop Stop

Laid back disco from Canada, to finish things off in style and send everyone home. Usually served with some uninhibited dance moves.
