Third Attempt

The following interview was conducted in November 7, 2023

Norwegian wonder boy, Third Attempt, has recently crafted a typically refined selection on the gorgeously eclectic and majestically constructed 'Momentary Bliss' long player. Continuing to light up the ever-reliable Beatservice roster, he combines an awe-inspiring production quality with an equally inspiring work rate, confirming his status as one of the Norwegian underground's most magnetic artists to have emerged over the last few years. On the week of the release of his new album we ask the dynamic young producer to take us through his after hours selection. After a hard night at the club, the lights are low, the mood is chill, this is the playlist.

Everyone Back to Mine Playlist

Fila Brazillia - Soft Music Under The Stars

One of my favorite downtempo tunes. Beautifully executed atmosphere sitar dancing on top. This is one of those tracks that could have continued forever.

Raxmus - The Black Dog

There's an element to this you quite can't put your finger on. That's why I like it.

Santana - Aqua Marine

My dad showed me this. One of Santana''s many beautiful pieces. I particularly enjoy the bassline on this track.

Tomas Dvorak/Floex - Nanorobot Tune

Probably one of my favorite records of all time, and it’s a video game soundtrack! Sound design and execution throughout is close to unmatched throughout. I chose this one particularly because of the second half. When the orchestrated melody opens up through the machine screeches, distorted signals, and noise. It just hits different. Don’t think I’ve heard anything like it.

Four Tet - Two Thousand and seventeen

One of the best to ever do it. Emotional piece.

Desmond Cheese - Basel Bike Ride

This is the music that plays in your head when you rewind on your best summer memories.

Plaid – Ralome

Top ambient track. Reminds me of going to Roskilde Festival with my friends in 2016. Playing this to relax in the tent after all the chaos. Beautiful tune

The Groovers – Where you Belong

Will never get tired of this downtempo slow burner. Play it as often as I can in my more chilled DJ sets. Masterclass in sampling

Bugge Wesseltoft – Change

Bugge is a visionary. This track is a statement.

Alex Albrecht – The Summit

Addictive rhythm and patterns evolving throughout. Beautiful.
