Lena Platonos - Gallop

This is Lena's second LP that she wrote, produced, and sang on all by her lonesome. She's a powerhouse of talent that will deeply inspire your soul. Her stunning poetry over analog synths and 808 drums is jaw dropping. Choosing one song to represent her is challenging to say the least. Here's a favorite:

Ministry - With Sympathy

Firstly, that album art is perfect! Right? Secondly, this record is proof that Ministry was dare I say new wave (?) a long time ago! Whatever genre you put this LP in, I love it. It's so fun from beginning to end. Too many favorite songs to mention.

Janet Jackson- Control

This album will never not thrill me. The perfect storm of Janet's liberated vocals with genius producers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis. Janet is an unsung hero and living legend and we should open a church dedicated to her where we can worship her at all hours of the day/night. If you have not heard this album in its entirety, I'm excited for you to. It's an emotional journey of independence and individuality. Get ready to fall in love.
