I have been having a similar dream for over 7 years now. In every dream I return to where I spent my teenage years- Iowa. In every dream there is a boy who either doesn't know who I am, or rejects me. The boy is always the same, Brad, who I had a quite the teenage crush on! Typically we are in a social setting and I am acting in such a manner to get Brad to notice me, and he either doesn't know who I am, or rejects me. Keep in mind in real life Brad and I grew up in the same neighborhood and 'dated' throughout middle school.
I feel somewhat ridiculous as I am now a 28-year-old, happy woman but here I am dreaming about a guy I dated as a pre-teen (yes, my first kiss in real life!). Sometimes I am so bothered by this dream that when I wake up I spend 30-40 minutes 'stalking' him online and on facebook. I feel absolutely ridiculous.
What does this mean?

If you're having the same dream for that long of a period of time it is probably very important to you're growth. Since the dream is talking about somewhere you went as a boy, this aspect in you has been present since your teenage years. Your animus is projected onto Brad. Brad in the dream is the masculine part of you. Your masculine side has most likely rejected or is ignoring your feminine side. You need to develop your feminine side to better balance yourself. Your teenage years in Iowa is likely when your masculine side was introduced. You need something creative in your life. maybe a new hobby. Do something that really would please your repressed feminine side such as painting, going for a nature walk, delve into your feelings. You are probably ignoring them if you are having this dream.
