Bridget from Homewood remembers this:
About two months ago, I was just moved into a new place with my good friend and was feeling really at home and comfortable. But on my fifth day there (I think) I had a sleep paralysis experience, but this time it was coupled with the experience of drowning. Sleep paralysis, for those who don't know what it is, is when the brain wakes up before the body does, and you know you are awake but can't move. It is fucking scary. I get it every so often, like 3 to 4 times a year, and when I do I have it repeatedly throughout that one night. This was the first time, however, that it came with an extra sensation of swallowing water and drowning, even though I knew I wasn't asleep. I was aware of what was happening. But I still couldn't control the feeling I was having. It felt... real as fuck. Anyone else suffer from this?!?!?
