What is vinyl painting? Vinyl painting is a medium of my own creation in which vinyl fabric (think car seats and restaurant booths) is cut, layered, and arranged to create evocative imagery that walks a line between digital and hand-made, natural and synthetic, primitive and modern. Sometimes they are glued on stretched vinyl (as with a canvas) and other times layered between clear plexiglass, allowing shadows behind and a kind of floating effect.

This medium is difficult to capture in photographs so I have provided details here and there to show texture and form. Still, the best way to see them is in person so please feel free to contact me for a studio visit.
